Basically the Networks are classified into LAN(Local Area Network),WAN (Wide Area Network) and MAN, etc. These kind of network types are used according to their needs. For example the colleges,schools,small group of companies will use LAN. These networks has various transfer rate. The WAN is used to connect the computer from all around the world. These Networks are connected to Routers or switches or Hub. These will inter-connect the computer.
